Being an ICT Student

Information and Communication Technology or known as ICT is a subject in which computers are used.
Not everyone in our school can be an ICT student. It is a great gift to be one of those chosen student to take an ICT. It is where we know more about computers. This is a great chance for us to discover more about technologies and go deeper in the world of technology.
In my elementary life, I am not yet familiar with computers. All I know are its basic uses.  When I enter my high school life, I am lucky because our TLE is about computers. With the help of this, I knew more about computer and its uses. I discovered things behind it.
It’s a great opportunity to be an ICT student and I am proud to be one of them!

My Dream, My Future

Dream. Believe. Survive. These are words that we may hear from the people who keep on dreaming and believing.
After 10 years, who will be am I? Did you already try to ask it to yourself?Everyone of us has a dream in life. We all want a bright future and we want the world to be ideal for us.
I want to have a bright future. To become an accountant or to be a doctor is my dream. Before, I wanted to become a nurse but I observed that there are so many nurses that have no works though they passed their board examinations. My family is my inspiration to achieve my goals in life. I want to help my family especially my mother who’s doing everything just to support our financial needs. She is my no. 1 inspiration. Though she can’t give all the things that I want to, I still salute her because she’s doing her best to give our main needs. I know that being a single mom is not that easy because you have to be the mother as well as to be the father so I understand my mom. I want someday to give her a good life and to give back the efforts that she’s exerting for us.
Challenges are life’s partner. In this world, we will meet many obstacles that may make us weak and try to bring us down. The journey of life is full of challenges. As we achieve our goals or our dreams, we will meet many obstacles but we shall not give up. We have to be strong in order for us to reach our dreams and have an ideal world in the future.
I'll everything to achieve my goals in life and to have a bright future. This is not only for me but, it is also for my family especially for my mother.

Reflection

Days are so fast and now, another grading is almost finished. This is the 3rd grading period, the 2nd to the last grading in my high school year.

This grading period, I learned more on using notepad. I learned more to make an html file because of the activities that were given to us. I met some problems in making my activities. I asked questions to my classmates whenever I didnt know what to do. I also met problems in making our prject which was the web design. It was so hard but then we did it. We tried our very best just to finished it.

The next grading period will be the last garding period in this school year and it is expected to be busy because of the events or activities that will be done. I will do my best this last grading period in my high school life.

New Year, New Me

“New Year, New Me,” this is a line that we often hear to the people around us when New Year comes. Most are making their new year’s resolution.

2011 was over. It was a year that was full of hardships and challenges but it was also full of excitement and happiness. There were people I met who give meaning to my life. Most of the time in this year, I was about to give up to different challenges but there were people who supported me.

2012 is another year for us. There will be a new me in this year. There will be some changes in me as days will pass by. One of the things that I want to change is that easily giving up to life’s trials and difficulties. I easily give up but because of the true people beside me, I’m learning to fight not just for myself but also for them. I’ll be more matured this year than the past years. I will concentrate in my studies. I will study hard. I want this year to change my bad attitudes. Sometimes, I get mad easily with my brother and this is one of the things that I want to change. I want us to be close and to be sweet to each other. I will be a better girl this year.

It’s another year so; let us correct now our mistakes. Make a better lifestyle this 2012 and change the bad sides within us. Spend the days of this year the happiest you can be.

Be Proud to Have an Own Dialect, Ilocanos!

In Philippines, there are so many dialects that we use. It is our “pagkakilanlan” as we say in tagalog.
We, Ilocanos use “Iloco” as our dialect. It is the dialect in Ilocos Region. Some Ilocanos don’t know now how to speak their own dialect because they are in other countries and they are not using Iloco anymore. They live in other countries in some years and forgot their original cultures. Because of many years of staying away from their hometown, some forget their dialect. Some also are shy to speak Iloco sometimes and I don’t know why.
Many Ilocanos especially teens don’t also know how to read Ilocano words and don’t know some Ilocano terminologies. This is maybe because of new generation and because of different kinds of “pauso.” Parents should teach to their children Ilocano even though they are in other countries. We should always know where we came from and be satisfied of what we have as our own.
Don’t forget our own dialect. It must be treasured. Wherever we go, always keep in mind our own dialect. Be proud that you are an Ilocano and you are from Ilocos Region.
Being an Ilocano is a great honor and having our own dialect is a great gift.

True Essence of Christmas

Christmas is a very significant event for us because it is the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. It is the time for sharing, giving and forgiving.

Everyone is excited when “ber months” come along our way. When these days come, we are so excited and thinking about Christmas. Do you know the true essence of christmas? Forgive! This is one of the things that we remember. We are all committing mistakes. Forgive people who commit errors to you and hurt you. Always remember that we are not all perfect.

“Give love on Christmas day....,” this is a famous line from a christmas song. God wants us to have oneness. Love people around you and let them feel it. Everyone is special in different ways. Don’t hate people who are not interested to you or don’t want you to be their friend, instead, show to them your kindness and they will realize that they should not hate you.

Share what you have and don’t be selfish. Many people need help or support. Give them whatever you can give as long as it is from the bottom of your heart. For example, the street children. They are craving for food because they don’t have enough money to buy some. Many people are just ignoring them but this must not be. We should help them. Give whatever you can give and they would be very happy. Isn’t it that it is so nice to help others especially children? So, continue sharing your blessings.
Feel the true essence of Christmas and let everyday be your Christmas day.
